To anyone going to Anthrocon, C-ACE, and/or AnthroFest this year, and are interested in buying something from me, I've got my price list ready
Conbadges
Conbadges will drawn on 4x3" or 3x4" bristol board (all depending if you want horizontal or vertical...although, I seem to be doing more vertical badges lately). It'll be of your character, full-body, coloured with markers and pencil crayons (aka coloured pencils). All conbadges come with a plastic holder and clip (while supplies last). This year, Conbadges are available in two prices:
$15 - This will get you a full-body, full-colour badge, but the background is just a mono-chromatic-type coloured background. For an example of what this looks like, here's a couple links: [link] [link]
$25 - This will get you a full-body, full-colour badge, with a complete background. Most of badges I've been doing, I'll put in a nice green meadow with trees or mountains or whatever, but I can draw whatever you like for the background
Other Commissions
Tiny Drawings - $25 - These are the same size of a conbadge, and pretty much are the samething...only they are made with a full-background, and they don't have the character name on it. In other words, it's like getting a mini-commission done
Sketchbook Art - Line-Art Only - $20 - As always, I'm available to draw in your sketchbook
Bookmarkers - $15 - Not a very popular commission option, but I still have them available! I have blank bookmarkers in which I can draw the full-body of your character. Bookmarker backgrounds are kinda pastelly though (pink, purple and blue), and I'm a little limited on the colour of tassels at the moment. You'll have to ask to see what's available once you're at my table
Prints and Things
Prints are $7 each, or 2 for $12, as it's always been for my prints
Magnets are $5 each. As soon as I get new ink for my printer, I'll see if I can make up some new magnet designs for this year's conventions
Old Art - I'm planning on having some old art available for sale as well. Because it's old art (anywhere from 1997-2000 or so), it's been marked as "Make an offer". I'll see if I can put them into sleeves or something, so that they can be flipped through in my binder.
Note: For conbadges and tiny drawings...I know that last year, I had a VERY high demand for conbadges...so much, that I had to take orders for them and finish them up at home and then mail them out to people. I'll be doing that again this year...so if I get full-up on my commissions, I'll take orders for conbadges and tiny drawings. I'll have special forms in which I'll fill out (or the commissioner can fill out, as long as their writing is readable), and you can pay for it while at the convention.
Also, be sure to check out my art in the Art Show! I've reserved places in the art show for both Anthrocon and C-ACE (I don't think AnthroFest will have an Art Show....) I'll be having a bunch of original art for sale in the Art Show, including the Spectrum of Skunkettes (You can read more about that here: [link] ), as well as a few other things. Whatever doesn't sell at Anthrocon, it'll be on display at C-ACE. Plus, I have enough art that if most of it sells at the AC art show, I'll have enough to display for C-ACE as well
I'll also be accepting trades too! Conbadge and sketchbook trades
I'm also accepting items in exchange for things as well. Like, you'd like a conbadge with a full background, but you don't think you'll have the money at the convention. You're more than welcomed to ask me what I'm looking for that would be the equivelant of $25 and buy that certain item and exchange that item with the conbadge
In the past, I've also had two little friends who always sat on my table. They were Knu-Qui (noo-kee) the plush dolphin and Ebony Starlight the plush black panther. They'll be returning again this year, as they've been doing a wonderful job in attracting people to my table
Lastly, a few things that I'd like to mention:
If you come by my table at any of the three conventions, I'd really appreciate it if you wouldn't bring food or drink to my table. I usually try not to have food or drink at my table (although sometimes I'll have a Pepsi for myself, but I like to keep it bottled up to prevent any accidents). I usually don't like eating at my table either, cuz I don't want to ruin anyone's work with food accidently spilling on it. Or getting full of grease-crumbs. So please, try your best not to bring food or drink around my table.
You're more than welcomed to ask me what I'm doing after the Dealer's Room closes...Although, chances are for the most part, I'm probably already doing something afterwards: going to a room party, or going out to supper with someone or a group of people, etc etc. I don't know what I'll be doing for each night...again, you're welcomed to ask to see what I'm doing. But please don't be disappointed if I'm already doing something that night and won't be able to hang out with you later on.
If I'm drawing something for you, and I haven't completed it before the Dealer's Room closes, please don't put pressure on me and want/demand to have your drawing done that night. Sitting at a table, drawing all day long, may not sound hard, but it is, and it can also be tiring. After the Dealer's Room closes, I like to hang out, kick back and relax. I don't mind drawing at a room party or something, but the kind of drawings I do there is usually easy-going. If I didn't get your drawing done while I'm in the Dealer's Room, check back the next day. I try to keep everything in queue, so I like finishing off the person(s) that come before you did first. If I don't get to it before the convention is over, I'll finish it up at home and mail it to you. You don't have to pay for shipping
Please don't assume that if you give me a drawing, that I'm expected to draw something back in exchange. As mentioned above, if you want to do an art trade or exchange, let me know ahead of time.
Please respect my personal space. I AM NOT a touchy-feely kind of person. If I've never met you before, please understand that I will give you a hand shake. If I've met you before (either online or in person), I don't mind a hug or giving a hug. But that's as far as it goes. Please don't stand too close to me...I'll move away so I can gain my personal space back. Please do not pat my back, touch my shoulder, or anything like that...even if it's casual. I know some people are used to doing this while engaged in a conversation and stuff, but I'm letting people know ahead of time that I'm usually not comfortable with being touched. I'll let it slide once or twice if you forget or if you're not aware of it, but if you're reading this, you'll know it now that I'm not a touchy-feely person. And, for the love God and everything holy, please DO NOT scritch me! Especially the head. I have my own reasons for this.
When I'm at my table, I'm usually there 99% of the time. The only time I'm not there is to stretch my legs or check up on my art in the art show. In most cases, I don't leave to eat or to use the bathroom. When the Dealer's Room closes, I like to pack up so I head back to my room and relax for a little bit...and to avoid exploding due to not visiting the bathroom all day long! LOL! So please don't hold me up when the Dealer's Room closes. I'm usually hungry and I have to potty, and I want to relax a little before I head to a room party somewhere.
I really don't mind if you stop my table and chat with me for a few minutes, but I do ask that it should only be a couple minutes. I can't draw and talk at the sametime, so if I'm talking, I'm not getting my work done. Again, I don't mind if you chat with me for a few minutes, but try not to chat with me for more than 5 minutes. I don't want angry commissioners wondering why their art isn't done when I told them it would be done at a certain time
I think that's all I can think of right now. If you're going to Anthrocon, my table in the Dealer's Room is located at C14. I'm not sure where my table is located at C-ACE or AnthroFest, but I'll be there
