I've seen alot of people typing "image (c) me" or "image copyright to me", and thought I'd post this on my DA and SA journal :)

If you'd like to know how to do the Copyright symbol - © - Here's how :)

Make sure you're in a text box and ready to type something.  Hold the Alt key down, and KEEP it held down while you type in these numbers: 0 1 6 9 - exactly in that order.  Release the Alt key and there you have it!

EDIT! Use your Number Pad on the right-side of your keyboard, NOT the numbers on the top part of the keyboard.  Make sure your Num Lock key is on too :)

And it works in Photoshop too, whenever you're adding text to your drawing and stuff :)

Hope this is helpful to artists out there!

Hehe, I always just copied the symbol from some webpage I was on and then repasted it wherever I needed it, but this is helpful to know! I just wonder if it'll work on my European keyboard...

Hmm...As it turns out, ALT + 1 (the #1 at the top of my keyboard) makes the © for me. :) Here are more nifties: £ € ∞ § :D

*nod* The "©" symbol looks a lot better than "(C)" or "(c)" to be sure.

Interestingly enough though, all three are legally valid.

Wow, that´s complicated. o_O On a Mac you only have to hold the Alt key down and press 1. Much easier.

Usually to insert a copyright symbol, I use MS Word and then cut n paste. But using (C) is kinda the norm for me. It's a lot easier to remember to do.

Laptops generally have a Function Key (Fn) and numbers written across the right-side of the letters... like FN-J will give you num-pad 1.

I learned how to do those kinds of symbols 10 years ago... *ponders that* Damn, I'm getting old... But, anyway... I guess I took for granted that other people don't always know how to make them. ^^;

*nods* Just replied to Mindsend about that one...try it with the number pad on your keyboard, not with the numbers on the top of the keyboard ;)

OH! I know what's wrong...you gotta use the Number Pad (make sure your Num Lock is on). it won't work with the numbers along the top part of the keyboard :) Try that :)
